I've no idea if I have any digital
scrapbooking fans out there, or, if I do, whether or not they still
visit this blog of mine, since I've neglected it for so long. So
this post is for purposes of informing all who care, that I have a
new digital scrapbooking "home", where I spend a great deal
of time and have started uploading some of my designs (free for
registered members - earn download credits daily by becoming an
active member). That place is Pixel Scrappers . I am currently a level 1 designer
for their "commons" section ( learn more
here). I really
connected with this site after reading their manifesto (explaining
their views on the sharing of art and creativity). You can read
their manifesto here.
I hope to see some new "faces"
at Pixel Scrapper...please consider stopping by there to look things
over and maybe become a member. You'll find lots of friendly
assistance and a number of informative tutorials in the forums there; as well as
various challenges (both, page challenges for the scrappers, and,
designer challenges, should you care to learn and try creating some
of your own designs) - and monthly blog trains too.
I know you most likely have not visited your blog in awhile my friend, but I came to visit, and just reread this so called Manifesto.... Too bad they don't really abide by all this. As I was told a while back when I mentioned wishing we had more leaveway to create actual art and not just scraps, "this isn't an artist site, it's a scrapping site, that's why it's called pixels scrapper.... oh, my bad lmao!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment...you are correct in that I don't check my blog often; however, I do receive an email notice whenever a comment is left here.
DeleteYou are not alone in your disappointment/disillusion with the Pixel Scrapper website...without disclosing any names, I know of at least one other.
I only keep my designs there as it allows me to fullfill my desire to keep my designs free and I like their tool design for uploading & searching. I've been wanting (sort of) to reactivate this blog as well as my design creations but my poor health (physically & mentally) leaves me with little-to-no energy and creative inspiration. I suppose, as long as I'm breathing, there'll always be a chance of me returning.
Thanks for alerting me to the fact that I have at least one fan (assuming that is you) out there in the world.
